So I was wondering why does it say private number every time I call someone? Turns out it's not always obvious why your caller ID gets stuck like that. Could be a setting you accidentally toggled, your carrier blocking it, or some protection feature doing its thing. Been digging through this and honestly there's a bunch of reasons why it happens. If you're on Android, you're basically telling your network to show your number through settings - usually under Caller ID or Additional settings depending on your phone brand. iPhone users need to go into Settings, then Apps, then Phone, and flip on Show My Caller ID. Still not working? Try those USSD codes like *31# to force your number visible, or reset your network settings completely. Sometimes it's just your SIM being old or some privacy app having too much access. The carrier network can be weird about this stuff too. Anyway, if you figure out why does it say private number on your end, usually one of these fixes handles it. What's your experience been with this?
