DL News to Shut Down at End of May 2026
DL News said it will shut down at the end of May 2026 after DL Research revenue grew 270% in 2025 and annual sales exceeded seven figures. DL News was founded in 2022 as DeFiLlama’s news division and separated from DeFiLlama in early 2023. DL News said declining traffic in crypto and tech media and AI-driven changes in search and distribution prevented commercial scalability. The team began layoffs in mid-April and staff were formally notified on May 1.
