CryptoWorld News reports, according to Falls News Agency, that Iran is pushing for licensing, charging, and legal jurisdiction over foreign cable operators. These cables carry a large amount of data traffic between Europe, the Gulf region, and Asia. Iran also demands that all management and maintenance work be exclusively handled by domestic companies. Previously, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran warned that they could attack the relevant submarine cable infrastructure.
