Recently, I’ve tried various head massagers, but honestly, I’m confused about which one to choose. There are quite a few from brands like Ya-man, MYTREX, and WAVEWAVE, and their shapes and functions are all different.

So, after comparing about 10 of them, I feel that the most important factors are the number of brushes and whether they have EMS functions, and also waterproof performance. Whether you can use it in the bath seems to influence whether you use it daily.

Top-tier models all have 6 brushes and EMS functions, and many allow you to adjust the speed in three levels. Prices range from around 3,000 yen to nearly 30,000 yen, but personally, I think models around 15,000 yen offer the best balance of performance and price. Lightness is also important; under 300 grams, you won’t get tired even after long use.

When comparing head massagers, it’s good to check three things: kneading performance and comfort, and ease of use. Especially since comfort is subjective, it’s recommended to try them in-store before buying. If they have IPX7 waterproofing, you can use them while shampooing or soaking in the bath, which enhances relaxation.

Another often overlooked point in comparing head massagers is the type of attachments. Some can be used not only on the scalp but also on the face, neck, and shoulders, so if you want full-body care, choosing those might be better. Personally, I use mine during my daily bath, and I feel it helps relieve a lot of work stress.
