Because markets do NOT go up forever.

One of the biggest mistakes traders make is believing every altcoin will eventually deliver a 10xโ€“20x if they simply hold long enough.

Reality is much more complicated.

Many people refuse to take profits even after: ๐Ÿ”ถ 3x
๐Ÿ”ถ 5x
๐Ÿ”ถ massive expansions

and eventually round-trip the entire move back down.

Trading is not black and white.

Itโ€™s mostly managing probabilities, emotions, and positioning.

Personally, I made mistakes too.

I went heavily into altcoins early and continued accumulating during weakness instead of managing exposure more actively.

That experience changed how I now view portfolio management.

If markets start overheating and altcoins begin accelerating aggressively: โš ๏ธ I will likely reduce a portion of positions

Not because I suddenly become bearish โ€” but because risk management matters.

Selling partial positions helps: โ–ซ๏ธ hedge portfolio delta
โ–ซ๏ธ reduce volatility exposure
โ–ซ๏ธ improve portfolio efficiency
โ–ซ๏ธ maintain flexibility during corrections
โ–ซ๏ธ preserve capital for future opportunities

Altcoins are highly volatile.

And historically: โš ๏ธ aggressive rallies are often followed by brutal corrections

Thatโ€™s why taking partial profits during strength can actually improve long-term performance.

Another important point: Compounding usually outperforms emotional holding.

By taking profits strategically: ๐Ÿ”ถ capital can rotate into lagging opportunities
๐Ÿ”ถ corrections become easier to navigate
๐Ÿ”ถ emotional pressure decreases significantly

The goal is not catching the absolute top.

The goal is surviving long enough to compound consistently across multiple cycles.

The market rewards disciplined profit-taking far more often than blind hope.

Because protecting gains is just as important as making them.

If this round truly accelerates to the FOMO stage, I might run one-third.

Emotional management is a hundred times more difficult than technical analysis; I deeply understand this.

The revolving door strategy is indeed more stable for long-term gains than holding a single coin.

It's not about being bearish; I just don't want to turn unrealized gains into unrealized losses, those who understand get it.

History doesn't repeat but rhymes; haven't the lessons from 2018 and 2021 been enough?
