US Targets Networks Supplying Iran’s Drone, Missile Programs

(MENAFN) The US Treasury Department declared sanctions on Friday against 10 people and firms, including several located in China and Hong Kong, for reportedly facilitating Iran’s military in obtaining weapons and materials used in Shahed-series drones and ballistic missiles.

The action focuses on networks that are said to have assisted Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and related entities in acquiring weapons parts and aerospace-grade raw materials. These supply chains are believed to support Iran’s broader defense manufacturing efforts.

The Treasury Department stated that it is prepared to apply economic pressure on Iran’s defense industrial base in order to prevent Iran from rebuilding its production capabilities and extending its influence beyond its borders.

“Under President Trump’s decisive leadership, we will continue to act to Keep America Safe and target foreign individuals and companies providing Iran’s military with weapons for use against U.S. forces,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement.
