A few days ago, I discussed a question with friends in the group: In the future, will preschool children really need to learn a foreign language?

Pro side arguments:
- Learning languages can physiologically promote the development of the prefrontal cortex
- Young children learn languages faster and more efficiently
- Being able to understand cultures in more language environments broadens cross-cultural perspectives
Con side arguments:
- In the AI era, multilingual tools can eliminate language barriers, making it unnecessary to learn multiple languages
- Learning can squeeze out a child's time to experience the world
- Excessive rote learning can trigger dislike of school in children and suppress the more important enthusiasm for autonomous learning and thinking
Assuming all conditions are favorable, what do you think?
