Just looked up Clix and honestly didn't realize how young he is. The guy's only 21 and already sitting on like $27 million. Absolute madness for someone who basically grew up grinding Fortnite in his hometown of Connecticut.
So his real name's Cody Conrod, born 2005, and apparently his parents were super supportive of him going all-in on competitive gaming instead of the usual school route. That's wild. He qualified for the Fortnite World Cup back in 2019 and took home $112k from that alone. Then he's been winning major tournaments left and right - FNCS Finals, DreamHack, you name it.
The money's coming from everywhere though - YouTube's his main thing with over 3 million subscribers, then Twitch streams, tournament winnings, brand deals, merch. Dude's probably making like $1-1.5 mil a year at this point. Started his YouTube in 2017 and just never stopped. Pretty insane rise from Connecticut to becoming one of the richest esports players out there. Makes you wonder how many other young gamers are about to blow up like this.
