LayerZero said it made a mistake in the $292 million Kelp exploit by allowing its own DVN to secure high-value transfers in a vulnerable 1-of-1 setup. The company issued an apology after weeks of publicly blaming Kelp for the April hack tied to North Korean attackers. LayerZero Labs said its DVN will no longer service 1/1 configurations. LayerZero Labs said default pathways are being moved to 5/5 where possible and at least 3/3 on chains with only three DVNs.
