Iran Claims Retaliatory Strike on U.S. Warships Near Strait of Hormuz

Iran said its military retaliated against U.S. forces after what it called ceasefire violations near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran said the U.S. struck an Iranian oil tanker traveling from Jask and another vessel opposite the UAE’s Port of Fujairah. Iran said it then attacked U.S. warships east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of the Port of Chabahar, causing significant losses and warning that it would respond to any act of aggression.
