Tether Freezes $515 Million in 30 Days, 371 Tron and Ethereum Addresses Blacklisted

Based on data from the on-chain tracker BlockSec USDT Freeze Tracker, as of May 7, 2026, the issuer of the stablecoin Tether has reportedly blacklisted 371 wallet addresses in the past 30 days. The move involved freezing USDT funds worth approximately $515 million or equivalent to IDR 8.94 trillion.

The majority of the blocked addresses come from the Tron network, with a total of 329 addresses and frozen funds reaching around $506 million. Meanwhile, on the Ethereum network, 42 addresses have been blacklisted with total funds of about $8.73 million.

This move again highlights the increasing scrutiny of stablecoin transaction activities, especially related to suspected money laundering, fraud, exploitation, and cross-blockchain illegal activities.
