We all understand the reasoning, but we only believe after we’ve paid the tuition fee~

The book says “Don’t touch it,” and my hand has already reached for it~
“Don’t do it,” they say—but my foot has already stepped forward~
Humans, as a species like this—we’ve evolved for millions of years, and the only thing that hasn’t evolved is that we have to trip and fall ourselves before we’ll believe~
All those “should’ve known sooner” moments are bought with real money or with our youth and precious time— and after you’ve paid, you’ll repeat the same words to the next generation, then watch as they walk straight into the same pitfalls, all over again~
We’re not a species that “listens to advice.” We’re a species that “pays tuition”~
The most ironic part is: once you’ve paid the tuition and finally see the light—then you turn around and tell the next person, who is destined not to listen~
