Just read about John McAfee's whole story and honestly, it's wild. The guy created McAfee Antivirus back in 1987, sold it to Intel for 7.7 billion in 2010, then basically became this fugitive tech legend. But what really got me was learning more about his wife Janice Dyson - their relationship is like something out of a movie.
They met in Miami Beach in 2012, she was going through rough times, and somehow they just clicked despite the massive age gap (he was 71, she was 34). Got married the next year and spent years running from authorities over tax evasion charges. Janice Dyson stuck with him through everything - the legal battles, the paranoia, all of it.
What's crazy is how he died in a Spanish prison in June 2021. Officials called it suicide, but Janice Dyson has been fighting that narrative hard ever since. She's convinced something else happened, pointing to his tweets about fearing for his life and everything. She's been pushing for independent autopsies, keeping his social media active, basically refusing to let his story be buried.
The whole thing is so messy and controversial. You've got conspiracy theories everywhere, questions about whether he really took his own life, and Janice Dyson just out here defending his memory and pushing for answers. Their relationship wasn't conventional, but watching how she's handled everything after his death... that's real loyalty right there. Kinda makes you think about what really happened.
