Lately, I’ve been getting overwhelmed by the task platforms. Earning “free money” is starting to feel more and more like going to work: clock in, take screenshots, fill out forms, and then keep an eye on the scoring system—afraid that I’ll be hit with a hard “witch” blanket cut-off. Honestly, everyone is just “proving I’m me,” but the more we prove it, the more it feels like we’re helping the platform clean up its data… I’m the kind of person who obsesses over details, so I even sneak a look at net fund flows and active addresses. Some projects are lively on the surface, but on-chain they feel hollow—so I end up even more exhausted.
These days, people in the group keep passing around talk about stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and all kinds of rumors about “de-pegging,” with emotions swinging wave after wave. The more it’s like this, the stronger the KPI stench from task platforms becomes. Everyone’s afraid to stop what they’re doing, worried they’ll miss out on “effective interactions.”
What I fear most isn’t losing money—it’s working hard for a while and then realizing I was just being led around by a whole set of scoring rules. Anyway, I’m going slower now. I’d rather do fewer tasks than turn myself into a production line. That’s all for now.
