I just finished the second season of Wednesday, and my mind is exploding from all the twists. Seriously, the finale is a masterpiece. Let’s figure out what actually happened because there are so many layers.
So, remember the zombie Slørp? Turns out, that was Isaac Night — Fransoaza’s brother and Tyler’s uncle. With each brain he ate, he recovered, and eventually, he fully came back to life. But here’s the wild part: Isaac was Gomez’s best friend back in Nevermore, and he developed this crazy machine supposedly to save his sister from Hyde. In reality, he was willing to sacrifice Gomez’s life for it. Morticia found out about this, went to the lab, and caused an explosion to stop the experiment. Fransoaza survived, but Isaac died. And they had been hiding all this because Stonehurst threatened to turn them in.
Now Isaac has returned and wants revenge, using Pugsley as an energy source for his machine. But here’s where it gets really interesting — Wednesday realizes it’s a trap. She goes into the woods, finds Isaac and Pugsley, but then the main secret is revealed.
The thing — it’s not just Wednesday’s helper. It’s part of Isaac himself! Literally his hand. Morticia cut it off when she sabotaged the experiment, and somehow, it came to life separately. When Isaac reconnects the Thing, he fully restores his telekinetic abilities. And yes, “Thing” rearranged letters spell “Night” — that’s no coincidence.
Next, Isaac throws Wednesday into a grave by a skull-covered tree, which begins to close. Agnes sees all this in her invisible form and runs to Enid. Enid, despite the risk of remaining a wolf forever during the full moon (she’s an Alpha), transforms and saves Wednesday. It was such a moment of friendship that just tore my heart apart.
And at the end, Isaac rebuilds his lab in Nevermore, preparing for the final battle. Wednesday’s parents and she herself come to rescue Pugsley, but it’s clear this is only the beginning of the war. Honestly, I don’t know how they’re going to stop Isaac now that he has Thing and all his abilities. The third season promises to be epic. Who else is rewatching the finale?
