By the way, have you noticed how in 2025 it became really easy to do assignments from a photo? I mean — you just point the camera at examples or problems, and the neural network gives a complete solution with all the steps in seconds. It’s no longer science fiction, it’s reality.
In general, I’ve tried a bunch of services and figured out the following. There are specialized solvers like Photomath and Mathway — they are focused on math and are really good. You point the camera, see the answer plus a step-by-step explanation. But they only work for math; they don’t handle physics or chemistry. Symbolab is similar, but more for students — it deals with serious integrals and differential equations.
But if you need to do a photo-based assignment across different subjects, it’s better to look at Wolfram|Alpha — it’s a universal computational engine. Graphs, formulas, chemistry, physics, statistics. Truly powerful tool, but it requires a subscription for full functionality.
MathGPT is interesting — free, no registration needed, understands Russian, and solves not only math but also physics and chemistry. The interface is in English, but that’s not critical.
There are also BotHub and Gauth — these are more versatile platforms. In BotHub, you can choose which neural network to use (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude), and Gauth covers not only math but also biology, languages, economics. When you need to solve problems across different subjects, they’re more convenient.
For me, if you’re a school student and need to quickly do an assignment from a photo — Photomath or Mathway. If you’re a college student and need serious solutions — Wolfram|Alpha or Symbolab. And if you don’t know which service you need at all, start with BotHub or try universal models like ChatGPT 5 and Gemini 3 Pro. They handle anything because they’re just smart and flexible.
