The U.S. Department of the Treasury sanctions 10 entities involved in Iran's military activities
Techub News reports, according to CryptoBriefing, the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced sanctions against 10 individuals and entities, accusing them of assisting the Iranian military in procuring weapon components and drone (UAV) parts. This action is part of the “Economic Fury” operation, which has resulted in over 1,000 Iran-related sanctions since February 2025. The targets of the sanctions include entities providing procurement networks for the Iranian Ministry of Defense, Aerospace Industry Organization, and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), involving regions in the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe. U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent stated that the Treasury will continue to “ruthlessly” combat Iran’s weapons proliferation networks. OFAC requires compliant crypto platforms to block related wallet addresses and report transactions, or face enforcement actions and fines.
