BlackRock is preparing to launch two- tokenized money market funds for investors holding cash in stablecoins.

The asset management company has submitted filings, planning to add a new digital share class to a fund with a size of approximately $6.1 billion.
The fund is called BlackRock Select Treasury Dased Liquidity Fund and primarily invests in cash, U.S. Treasury bills, notes, and other short-term securities with maturities of no more than 93 days.

These tokenized shares are expected to operate on the Ethereum blockchain, running in parallel with the fund’s existing traditional share classes.

The filings show that as the blockchain market continues to expand, large financial institutions are gradually moving closer to the stablecoin economy, further integrating traditional financial products with on-chain assets.
