China Mobile's Qiu Baohua: Will invest hundreds of billions of yuan in the Token ecosystem over the next 3-5 years

At the 2026 Mobile Cloud Conference, Qiu Baohua, General Manager of China Mobile’s Market Operations Department, stated that in the future, China Mobile will focus on building a Token operation system and carry out four major actions: Token aggregation, platform foundation building, consumption activation, and value co-creation. Recently, China Mobile will focus on deep collaboration on large models, creating a high-quality Token supply matrix, primarily through three approaches: First, direct access to closed-source models by connecting with industry-leading large models to quickly enrich model supply and meet users’ diverse invocation needs; Second, deploying open-source models independently by leveraging proprietary computing power to deploy and optimize open-source models, strengthening autonomous and controllable model supply capabilities; Third, collaborative construction of high-quality models by partnering with manufacturers to deploy high-quality closed-source models, deeply adapting to customized product requirements, and solidifying the core capabilities for efficient Token production. Over the next 3 to 5 years, China Mobile will invest hundreds of billions in Token ecosystem resources, build trillion-level computing infrastructure, and work together to create trillion-level AI industry value.
