According to New Straits Times, three South Korean men appeared in court over allegations of kidnapping a fellow Korean at Genting Highlands, Malaysia, and demanding cryptocurrency ransom. The report states that the kidnappers allegedly demanded 10 million USDT from the victim's family, who ultimately paid 3 million USDT. Currently, the police have frozen and recovered 2.46 million USDT. The three suspects could not proceed with the court hearing due to an inability to understand English or Malay, and the judge postponed the case to May 18, ordering that the three not be granted bail.
