Crypto界 news, according to New Straits Times, three South Korean men appeared in court over allegations of kidnapping a fellow Korean at Genting Highlands, Malaysia, and demanding cryptocurrency ransom. The report states that the kidnappers demanded the victim's family pay 10 million USDT, and the family ultimately paid 3 million USDT. Currently, the police have frozen and recovered 2.46 million USDT. The three suspects could not understand English or Malay, so the court proceedings could not continue officially, and the judge postponed the case to May 18, ordering the three not to be released on bail.
