According to OpenSourceMalware reports, new variants have emerged in the attack activities related to North Korean hacker group Lazarus Group's Contagious Interview / TaskJacker operations, with attackers hiding the second-stage loader within Git Hooks. After victims clone repositories disguised as "programming tests," malicious pre-commit scripts are triggered to download payloads, ultimately delivering malware such as InvisibleFerret and BeaverTail, targeting sensitive information including crypto wallets.
