BYD, Tesla, XPeng, Li Auto, and other automakers deny being summoned for talks

CryptoWorld News reports that market rumors have recently claimed that, due to automakers locking batteries, widespread complaints were triggered, leading to eight automakers being summoned for discussions. Three automakers were put on record for investigation due to violations, and two withdrew the dispute-escalation package and promised to restore performance. Today, when seeking verification from eight automakers—BYD, Tesla, XPeng, Li Auto, NIO, Seres Aito, Geely Zeekr, and GAC Aion—BYD, Tesla, XPeng, Li Auto, and GAC Aion all clearly denied the related reports. Tesla stated that it was not summoned by regulators over battery locking, and that all software updates have undergone rigorous testing and been filed. XPeng Group’s legal department said it has not recently received information about any so-called “summons,” and Li Auto also said the above reports are untrue. In an official post, BYD said that the online rumors about “BYD being summoned and put on record for investigation” are purely false rumors. GAC Aion also stated that it has never been summoned by relevant authorities due to untrue information, nor does it have any case under investigation.
