I strongly recommend brothers and sisters to stick with meditation; it really has many benefits!

Since December last year, I have been meditating almost every day for 10-20 minutes, whether before sleep, upon waking, or at the same time.
At first, I didn’t notice much change, but after sticking with it for a while, I discovered amazing effects.
Take me now as an example, my sleep quality has significantly improved compared to last year, I hardly dream anymore, and I often suddenly enter a state of “completely living in the present.”
Yes, the state we often talk about—living in the moment—I call this Real Live.
This feeling is hard to describe; to be more vivid, I’d say it’s like the leaves on the street are especially clear and green, the flowers are very beautiful, the dogs and cats by the roadside are adorable, and people are very friendly.
It feels like time and space are passing through my body.
In short, the world feels so beautiful, and my mood is very joyful.
It makes you feel like you’re back in childhood, that initial curiosity about the world, everything feels new—surely you’ve experienced this before, right?!
And before, I often struggled with certain issues or got impatient and exhausted internally when things happened.
After practicing meditation consistently, these problems also improved noticeably.
Actually, I started exploring this in 2023.
I kept hearing how wonderful it was, but back then I only practiced intermittently and didn’t persist, which I think was a pity.
Last year, I visited a temple, which rekindled my interest in inward exploration.
Why does meditation have such effects?
Many articles show that meditators have higher levels of BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), endogenous dopamine, and serotonin compared to normal people.
But from my own experience, it’s really just about—“letting the brain rest properly.”
Do you ever feel that your brain is always thinking when you’re awake, constantly active?
Especially for crypto buddies, sometimes you think about whether stocks or coins are up or down, then wonder if someone in the group has shared a wealth secret, then think about what to do with your future, whether the crypto world is doomed, then after 10 minutes switch to wondering what your partner’s words really mean, and then, wow, AI is so awesome...
In short, most people nowadays, when faced with all kinds of information—whether in life or online—their brains are never at rest when awake.
Even when sleeping, they dream and keep thinking about what happened during the day.
Even computers shut down and rest their CPUs, but we often forget to give our brains a break.
Meditation is a very good way to relax the brain.
Just sitting quietly or lying still, following a breathing tutorial, can greatly soothe your emotions.
Of course, many people say, “Oh, I don’t know how to meditate; I just close my eyes and start thinking randomly.”
But meditation isn’t just sitting cross-legged with eyes closed.
There are many guided tutorials—just search on Bilibili, and there are plenty of good ones.
I follow “Xiao Yi Meditation” and “Rachel,” and stick to basic breathing exercises, 10-15 minutes a day is enough.
The next level is “Ether Small Motor,” which lasts 40 minutes and involves some religious or divine concepts.
I do it less often, but even once, it’s very “enlightening.”
In the temple, I practiced Zen sitting, which is actually the highest form of meditation.
It’s a complete exploration of oneself and the world.
Once I sat for 40 minutes but couldn’t hold on.
In the last 2 minutes, I experienced a feeling I’ve never felt before—enlightenment and seeing my true nature.
With my eyes closed, I saw another self.
After leaving the temple, I decided to keep practicing meditation no matter what, and I’m really glad I persisted.
Anyway, modern people are relentless in chasing money and fame.
I think these external things are endless.
It’s better to explore inward, learn to fully experience the beauty of food, entertainment, emotions, and so on.
That’s much more interesting and meaningful than endlessly browsing online on A8 or A9.
In short, meditation has truly brought me a lot of happiness and self-discovery.
I’ve lived half my life, but only in these past few months have I figured out what I really like, who I enjoy being with, and what kind of life I want.
If you want to start, be sure to stick with it.
This really requires persistence; it’s a process, and only then can you truly understand the meaning of living.
