This year's Typhoon No. 5 "Hagupit" has formed

According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, at 2:00 PM today (May 6), the fifth typhoon of the year, “Hagupit” (tropical storm level), formed over the northwest Pacific Ocean. Its center is located approximately 2,950 kilometers east-southeast of Manila, Philippines, at 8.4°N latitude and 147.3°E longitude, with maximum near-center wind speeds of level 8 (18 meters per second). It is expected that “Hagupit” will move quickly toward the west-southwest at about 30 kilometers per hour, with little change in intensity. (CCTV News)
