Iranian officials: The security of the Strait of Hormuz can only be guaranteed by Iran and its people

Nouraldadi, head of the Department of Parliament and Legal Affairs at Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated on the 6th that the United States previously deployed several warships in the Gulf of Oman under the so-called “Freedom Plan” in an attempt to escort ships and open the Strait of Hormuz passage. However, due to the strong response from Iran’s armed forces and stern warnings from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, the U.S. was unable to successfully pass through the Strait of Hormuz. “The operation has ended in failure.” He said that any military adventures by the U.S. and its allies in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf will bring them unbearable costs and make the situation more complicated. He pointed out that Iran’s position has been clearly expressed: the security of the Strait of Hormuz can only be guaranteed by Iran and its people. (CCTV News)
