Mars Finance News, May 9 — According to reports citing sources familiar with the matter, Anthropic PBC has signed an $1.8 billion computing deal with cloud service provider Akamai Technologies Inc. to meet the surge in demand for its artificial intelligence software. Akamai stated on Thursday that it has reached a seven-year cloud computing agreement with a “leading frontier model provider,” but did not name the company. As the relevant information has not been made public, sources requested anonymity. Anthropic declined to comment. Akamai did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
