Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts has written to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, requesting answers regarding stablecoin integration. Elizabeth Warren stated that her concern about the lack of transparency in Meta’s previous Libra attempt makes her uneasy about their stablecoin plans. She has asked Mark Zuckerberg to provide details of the stablecoin trial, including the launch date, the third-party stablecoins involved, and privacy protection mechanisms, by May 20.

Meta has launched USDC payment features for some creators in the Philippines and Colombia in April. The Senate Banking Committee is currently reviewing the CLARITY Act, which aims to establish a framework for digital assets.
