America's banks suddenly become anxious! If the CLARITY Act passes, the biggest losers may not be Wall Street, but deposit accounts
The U.S. Senate is accelerating the push to bring the CLARITY Act into a critical review stage, and the atmosphere in Washington is more intense than Bitcoin market trends. The most panicked are not retail investors, but banks. The American Banking Association has publicly warned: the "member reward" mechanism in the bill could cause a large number of depositors to move their money from banks into on-chain accounts.
What does this mean? Simply put, in the future, stablecoin platforms might be as aggressive as bubble tea shops in giving out points, cashback, and yield coupons. Young people see: bank savings interest rate at 0.01%, on-chain wallets with an annualized yield of 5%, who would still keep their money safely in banks?
This is what American banks are truly afraid of—not Bitcoin, but the "digital dollar replacing traditional deposits."
If the CLARITY Act passes, the U.S. crypto market will gain its first truly "regulatory ID." Institutional funds will flood in because the most feared "regulatory uncertainty" begins to disappear. Wall Street isn't unwilling to buy coins; they just dare not violate regulations.
More importantly, this could reshape the global financial structure.
In the past, U.S. dollar hegemony relied on SWIFT and the banking system; in the future, it might depend on the stablecoin network. Whoever controls the circulation of on-chain dollars will control the new era's financial highway.
So you'll notice, America criticizes crypto daily but acts very honestly. Because they have already realized: if the U.S. doesn't legislate, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UAE will take over the next-generation financial center.
Banks now resemble Nokia in the feature phone era—knowing smartphones are coming but unwilling to admit it.
And the most frantic crypto market rallies are often not "no regulation," but "finally legalizing."
What the CLARITY Act truly changes may not be the coin prices but the underlying rules of the entire financial world. #Gate广场五月交易分享
