Techub News reports, citing Cointelegraph, that Polish law enforcement authorities are investigating the cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto after users reported difficulties withdrawing funds. The exchange’s CEO said they are unable to access a cold wallet holding approximately 4,500 Bitcoins (worth about $360 million), adding that the private keys have not been handed over since the founder went missing in 2022. The Estonian Financial Supervisory Authority has issued an investor warning against the exchange and its parent company. The exchange’s CEO denied rumors that it is insolvent, saying it will fulfill all customer obligations. However, reports indicate the CEO has been silent on social media since April 16 and has flown to Israel. Polish investigators launched the investigation in April, and the exchange’s users are still reporting that they cannot withdraw funds.
