I just saw someone say, “wait for confirmation,” and honestly, that line is pretty deadly when it comes to oracle-fed pricing… When you’re running a leveraged position, if the feed is a bit behind, and the market jolts, on-chain liquidation looks at that “late” price—whether it’s going to hit you or not, they’re not going to show you mercy just because you think it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Even more ridiculous is when the oracle throws an error now and then—the liquidation just kicks in like someone hit the fast-forward button. You’re staring at the spot market, and you haven’t moved a thing, but your position gets blown up first. The recent cross-chain bridge theft also reminded me: don’t assume the outside world will move at your pace. Anyway, I just turned off auto-signing—better to earn a little less than let a delayed price feed plus an abnormal quote be the “lesson” you get.
