Golden Finance reports that on May 8th, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission warned the public to beware of unlicensed platforms called StableStock and HabitTrade. The Hong Kong SFC noted that online videos are encouraging the public to use the StableStock platform and claiming that virtual currencies can be used to subscribe to Hong Kong stock IPOs. StableStock also claims to be collaborating with another company, HabitTrade. In fact, neither StableStock nor HabitTrade has been licensed by the Hong Kong SFC. They are not authorized to conduct any regulated activities in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong SFC has listed StableStock and HabitTrade on its warning list.
