Over the past two weeks, I’ve been watching on-chain data while sipping tea, and my biggest feeling is: the mainnet is like the old city center, everything is there but congested; L2 is like the new district, wider roads but navigation often glitches. Ordinary people’s compromise is actually very simple—small, high-frequency transactions stay honestly on L2, like transfers, participating in activities, trying new apps, don’t make your wallet suffer; if you really need to handle large amounts or keep funds long-term, in the end, you’ll want to return to the mainnet to relax, feel more secure, even if it costs a bit more gas.

Recently, there’s been more debate about modularization and the DA layer narrative, developers are excited like it’s the New Year, but users are basically: huh? Another layer? Frankly, I only care about two things: how long I have to wait when I click confirm, and whether I can get my money back if something goes wrong. Anyway, my current habit is: I only use the two familiar cross-chain/bridge routes, paying a higher fee as if buying insurance, so I don’t have to wake up in the middle of the night to check announcements and pretend I’m calm.
