Microchip has expanded its Trust Shield family with new post-quantum-cryptography (PQC) ready controllers, the TS1800 Platform Root of Trust controller and the TS50x secure boot controller. These devices are designed to meet emerging cybersecurity mandates like the European Cyber Resilience Act and CNSA 2.0, offering hardware-accelerated PQC algorithms for enhanced security in data centers and critical infrastructure. The TS1800 features an Arm Cortex‑M4F processor and USB 2.0, while the TS50x provides a simpler PQC secure boot solution.
