On April 29, JPMorgan announced the appointment of former Goldman Sachs executive Oliver Harris to lead its blockchain division, Kinexys. Harris will focus on the commercialization of Kinexys applications and strengthening collaborations with institutional clients. He previously served as CEO of Arda Global and Managing Director of Goldman Sachs’ Americas Digital Assets division, and he worked at JPMorgan for six years, where he led the development of the Quorum blockchain platform. The Kinexys blockchain payment network was launched in 2019 and processed $5 billion in transactions daily as of last December. Last November, JPMorgan began offering the deposit token JPM Coin to institutional clients, enabling fund transfers via the Base blockchain.
