Deep Tide TechFlow News, on May 08, the Xinhua News Agency reported that the U.S. Central Command said on the 8th that U.S. forces fired precision-guided munitions at two Iranian oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman that were “violating U.S. blockade orders,” causing them to lose the ability to navigate. Five hours before the U.S. military released its announcement, a reporter obtained wireless audio recordings in which the journalists said the two tankers were under attack and were requesting assistance. The report said that on the same day, U.S. forces carried out blockade measures against two unladen oil tankers flying the Iranian flag, the “SEA STAR III” and “SEVDA,” which were attempting to enter an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman. A U.S. Navy F/A-18 “Super Hornet” fighter belonging to the aircraft carrier “Bush” fired precision-guided munitions at the smokestacks of the two oil tankers, causing them to lose the ability to navigate.
