Zcash Hot Returns with Quantum-Resistant Update

Zcash just announced plans to launch a quantum-resistant wallet within the next month, allowing users to transfer assets to a new, more secure encryption standard if quantum computers become powerful enough to break the current system.

Looking further ahead, the project also aims for the entire network to achieve a “quantum-resistant” standard within 12-18 months, while also accelerating transaction processing speeds to match Visa and Mastercard.

At Consensus Miami, CEO Josh Swihart stated that Bitcoin is now more suitable as an ETF and store of value because it is too transparent. Meanwhile, Zcash focuses more on financial privacy.

$ZEC has increased over 110% in the past 30 days, thanks to the renewed interest in privacy coins and Multicoin Capital publicly accumulating large amounts of $ZEC . Part of the funds also come from Near Intents, a system that allows direct exchange of BTC, SOL, or USDC for anonymous ZEC.
