Hut 8 Shares Jump 33% on $9.8B Texas AI Data Center Lease

Hut 8 shares rose more than 33% after the company signed a 15-year AI data center lease in Texas with a base value of $9.8 billion. The Beacon Point agreement covers 352 megawatts of IT capacity and could reach about $25.1 billion if renewal options are exercised. The announcement came with Q1 2026 results that showed a net loss of more than $253 million and revenue of $71 million.
