"Federal Reserve's Mouthpiece": The reason the U.S. unemployment rate hasn't risen is because people have left the labor force

Mars Finance News: On May 8, “Federal Reserve mouthpiece” Nick Timiraos said that, according to the household survey, employment fell by 226,000. The labor force shrank by 92,000. The labor force participation rate edged down by 0.1 percentage points to 61.8%. (In other words, the reason the U.S. unemployment rate has not risen is that people have left the labor market, not because they have found jobs.) (Jin10 Data APP)
