So I just found out can dogs eat oranges and honestly I was surprised they actually can. Been giving my pup random fruit bites but never thought about oranges until I read they're packed with vitamin C and fiber, which is kinda cool for their digestion. Apparently one to three slices is the sweet spot though—can't just go crazy with it. The thing that got me was learning the peel and seeds are actually toxic, so you gotta be careful about that. Also if your dog has diabetes, skip the oranges completely because of the sugar content. I guess the rule is can dogs eat oranges safely only if you do it right—remove everything, keep portions tiny, and don't make it a regular thing since their regular food already has all the nutrients they need. Saw someone mention their puppy got sick from too much citrus so definitely introducing it slowly matters. Mandarin oranges and clementines work too but same rules apply. Honestly seems like oranges are more of a special treat than anything, especially on hot days since they're mostly water. Might try giving mine a slice and see how she reacts. Anyone else's dog actually like oranges or is mine just weird about fruit?
