I heard that if someone is sentenced to death with a reprieve, then as long as they behave well during this period, their sentence can be changed to life imprisonment. If they behave well while serving life imprisonment, then it can be further changed to a fixed-term prison sentence—gradually shortening the time. Is that really how it works? At his age, will he still be alive to be released from prison?
