Just noticed ET has been running pretty solid lately. The stock popped 2.68% yesterday and is up about 4.5% over the past month, which is decent but the broader energy sector has been crushing it at 14%+ gains. Meanwhile, the market indexes are basically flat.

Looking at the valuation, energy transfer is trading at a forward P/E of 11.75 versus the sector average of 12.37, so there's some value there. The PEG ratio sits at 0.94 compared to the industry average of 1.73, which suggests the growth story might be underpriced relative to earnings expectations.

There's been some positive movement in analyst estimates over the past month too. The earnings estimates have ticked up, which usually signals confidence in the business. That said, the broader oil and gas production pipeline sector isn't exactly in favor right now - it ranks in the bottom 23% of industries. So while the energy transfer story looks reasonable on individual metrics, the sector headwinds are real.

Worth keeping on the radar if you're looking at energy infrastructure plays, but don't expect this to be a runaway winner given where the sector sits. The next earnings will be key to watch.
