Bridge executive says Tether and Circle dominance hurts stablecoin growth

Bridge’s Ben O’Neill said Tether’s USDT at about $189.5 billion and Circle’s USDC at about $71 billion limit stablecoin competition. O’Neill said redemption and burn fees make both tokens less suitable for some payments use cases, and he called for more specialized stablecoins and more efficient clearing between them.
