CryptoWorld News: SpaceXAI (formerly xai) is about to launch a cross-platform desktop coding tool, Grok Build, with features comparable to Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.
Today, the Grok web version unexpectedly displayed a testing entry point, allowing users to switch between local folders and Google Drive.
According to early internal testing, Grok Build supports macOS, Linux, and Windows, focusing on agent workflows with high permissions: it supports integrating MCP (Model Context Protocol), official skills and plugins, can read Git code trees, manage local files, and even start developer servers.
A built-in browser is available for web browsing, and it offers a “planning mode” for handling complex tasks.
If not released alongside new models, the default most powerful model supported by Grok Build is Grok 4.3 Early Access, with testers praising its outstanding front-end code generation capabilities.
