CryptoJobsList: 2026 Web3 Workforce Report Shows Rising Demand for AI Skills

CryptoWorld News reports that, according to CryptoJobsList, Web3 hiring is shifting toward the “Agent Manager” era in 2026. The report reviews 1,962 job postings and 813 survey responses, finding that the share of crypto roles mentioning AI increased from 23% in early 2025 to 53.1% in March 2026. More than half of Web3 positions require AI skills, and 69.1% of workers believe roles are moving from direct execution to managing AI agents. The median salary for mid-level AI roles is $115,000, which is 21.1% higher than non-AI roles. 61.2% of workers say AI skills help them negotiate higher salaries, and 43.3% of candidates would avoid companies without clear AI or automation plans. Coinbase recently announced layoffs of about 700 employees, roughly 14% of its workforce, with CEO Brian Armstrong linking the move to AI productivity.
