【Breaking Gossip】The wealthiest crypto giants of 2026 revealed! Satoshi Nakamoto is still that god—Brother Sun ranks second😂

Arkham released its latest report, which listed the top ten most wealthy crypto individual holders that can be tracked on-chain in 2026. The rankings are estimated based on publicly available on-chain data. For those at the top, most of their wealth mainly comes from early holdings of Bitcoin or Ethereum. Satoshi Nakamoto remains in first place with an overwhelming advantage.

🧠 1st place: Satoshi Nakamoto (Bitcoin creator)
Net worth: about $89 billion
Where the money came from: mined in 2009–2010, and stashed across roughly 22,000 addresses.
Don’t even think about it—no one knows who he is, but that doesn’t stop him from making it into the world’s top 25 billionaires.

🍿 2nd place: Sun Yuchen (Tron founder)
Net worth: about $1.5 billion
What he has: 1.8 billion TRX (about $610 million) + stETH + BTC, etc.
Brother Sun is still your Brother Sun—everything on the chain is crystal clear.

💔 The unluckiest protagonist: James Howells (Welsh IT guy)
Net worth: about $650 million (but he can’t get it)
Story: In 2010, he mined 8,000 BTC with a laptop, and in 2013 he threw away the hard drive that contained the private keys as if it were trash.
Now he’s buried under a landfill somewhere in the UK, and the local government won’t let him dig it up. This guy watches the coin price rise every day—his heart breaks like it’s been cut.

😭 The same tragedy: Rain Lohmus (Estonian banker)
Net worth: about $589 million (also can’t get it)
In 2014, he spent $75,000 to take part in an Ethereum crowd sale, got 250,000 ETH, and then lost the private key.
The money is sitting on the chain, bright and clear—yet it can’t be moved no matter what.

🔐 Even more ruthless: Stefan Thomas (early Bitcoin developer)
Net worth: about $569 million
Back then, he made a Bitcoin introduction video and received 7,002 BTC. The private key was stored in an IronKey hardware wallet, but the password paper was lost.
Now he only has 2 chances left to enter the password; if he gets it wrong twice, it will be permanently locked. It’s more thrilling than a bank vault safe.

🧙 Vitalik Buterin (Ethereum co-founder)
Net worth: about $533 million
Mostly from the ETH allocated at genesis, plus meme-coin projects from all kinds of places blasting airdrops into his address.
A living legend—no need to lose private keys.

🚔 Drug dealer turned “missing owner”: Clifton Collins (Irishman)
Net worth: about $447 million (most of it can’t be accessed)
In 2011–2012, he got around 6,000 BTC when the price was about $5 per coin, hid the private keys inside a fishing rod, and then lost the fishing rod.
Later, he was arrested. In March 2026, one of the wallets suddenly “came back to life,” and police recovered about $35 million worth of BTC. The rest is still buried in the ground.

🐟 Godfish (Cobo CEO)
Net worth: about $213 million
He mainly holds BTC—a low-key big shot.

🎫 Patricio Worthalter (POAP founder)
Net worth: about $149 million
He mainly holds ETH and related assets.

📉 James Fickel (well-known trader)
Net worth: about $115 million
In 2016, he hoarded about 49,000 ETH at low prices. Later, he lost more than $43 million by betting on ETH/BTC.
Now he’s switched careers to studying neuroscience—maybe losing money gave him philosophical insights.
