After the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting incident, Trump once again defends the White House banquet hall project

Golden Finance reports that on May 8th, local time May 7th, regarding the $1 billion budget proposed by the Republican Party for the White House banquet hall, U.S. President Trump stated that the funds are mainly used for “security projects” rather than the construction of the banquet hall itself. Trump said on that day, “That is not all the funds for the banquet hall; it is for security-related projects in certain areas of the White House.” He also mentioned that part of the funds involve “military-level” security facilities and presidential security needs, emphasizing, “We will have a secure banquet hall.” (Dongxin News)
