Anthropic signs SpaceX for Colossus 1 compute ahead of SpaceX IPO

Anthropic signed a deal to use all of the compute capacity at SpaceX’s Colossus 1 data center, locking in more than 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs within the month. The agreement raised Claude Opus API rate limits and doubled Claude Code’s five-hour rate limits for Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, all effective Wednesday. SpaceX filed confidentially with the SEC on April 1 for an IPO targeting a $1.75 trillion to $2 trillion valuation, with a public S-1 expected by late May and a roadshow set for the week of June 8.
