Becoming More Aggressive, JPMorgan Predicts Strategy Will Buy a Total of 375,000 BTC by 2026
JPMorgan reports that the rate of Bitcoin accumulation by Strategy has been accelerating significantly throughout this year. In the latest report on Thursday (5/7), JPMorgan estimates that the company's total annual spending will surpass $30 billion, equivalent to an overall accumulation of about 375,000 BTC by the end of 2026.
As of May, Strategy has already secured an additional 145,834 BTC. Based on JPMorgan's prediction, the company will still buy around 229,166 BTC to complete its massive purchase target. This move is much more aggressive compared to the accumulation records of 2024 and 2025, which each stood at $22 billion per year.
JPMorgan analysts believe that this large-scale supply absorption will strengthen Bitcoin's scarcity in the institutional market in the long term. Although this sentiment is very bullish, the market continues to monitor the sustainability of the company's funding scheme as a key variable to ensure that the goal of acquiring hundreds of thousands of additional coins can be fully realized by the end of the year.
