SlowMist: Linux systems are reported to have a critical vulnerability Dirty Frag; users should upgrade promptly.

Mars Finance News, SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer 23pds disclosed that a privilege escalation vulnerability called Dirty Frag has been exposed in Linux systems. Complete details and exploit code have been made public. This vulnerability allows any local low-privilege user to directly obtain root privileges on almost all mainstream Linux distributions. It is a deterministic logic flaw, and the attack does not rely on complex race conditions, resulting in a very high success rate without causing kernel crashes, making it extremely dangerous. Linux users are advised to update their systems promptly.
